Official Alpha 0.2.125, sequence 152, is the current live build for approved testers. Since the 0.2.90 world expansion, the focus has shifted from map scale alone to the people, creatures, stories, and interactions that make the world worth inhabiting.
The first journey is connected
New characters can begin with Keeper Maelin at Hearth Square, gather Brightleaf, recover three Heart Fragments, face the Hollow Guardian, restore the Heart of Eldoria, take the Heartwake Ferry to Concord Isle, meet the four faction envoys, and choose an allegiance or remain Unaligned. Purpose-built characters, objects, prompts, dialogue, journal stages, travel, rewards, and faction selection carry the route from beginning to end.
Wildlife arrives across the regions
Thirty-two eight-direction wildlife species now inhabit farm, forest, alpine, coastal, aquatic, arcane, and ruin environments. Their movement is smoother between shared updates, names follow their visible silhouettes, and eligible creatures support Animal Taming, owner commands, companion formations, persistence, and obstacle-aware following.
More readable interactions
Inventory items can be dragged between backpack, equipment, containers, and the ground. Paperdolls open from the visible character rather than transparent image space. Supported players, characters, vendors, guards, hostiles, and animals can present readable names and movable status displays. Quest conversations, progress, and rewards now use distinct presentation while retaining the journal’s book-like menu.
Maps, caves, and a world that remembers your layout
The mini-map cycles between closed, normal, and larger views and retains its position. Other movable windows also return where the player placed them. Five caves support nearby keyboard and direct mouse entry, separate local maps, and reliable two-way travel back to their surface landmarks.
Crafting grows carefully
Alchemy and Blacksmithing remain the two complete Alpha crafting references, with ingredients, stamina, output, inventory, and Discipline gains committed together. A broader catalog of grounded profession stations prepares the world for future crafts without pretending every station already has a finished recipe set.
Talam remains a restricted private Alpha. Public registration and downloads are still closed while content, balance, installed-client testing, and wider-release preparation continue.
